Globally Green, was born as a result of a global project campaign competition in 2020. This competition brought together individuals from different parts of the world to pick one Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) and lead a campaign. For us, it was Goal 13: Climate Action because of our passion to be agents of change and contribute to reducing carbon footprints.
What started as an opportunity to develop a project campaign and compete on a global platform became something much bigger. Through the experience, we were challenged to think deeply about SDG 13-Climate Action where we have to engage a huge number of individuals globally to stay in the competition.
The competition came to an abrupt end due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, we did not want the ideas, conversations, the people we had engaged and solutions we had explored to end when the competition did. There was still so much to be done.
Environmental challenges were continuing to affect communities, ecosystems, and livelihoods, and young people needed more opportunities to understand these issues and become part of the solution.
So, we decided to continue.
What began as a project idea evolved into an environmental advocacy organization committed to creating awareness, empowering communities, and inspiring action for a more sustainable future.
Since then, Globally Green has grown beyond its beginnings as a competition project. We have created spaces for climate conversations, engaged young people and communities, led environmental campaigns, developed climate education initiatives, and collaborated with organizations and institutions that share our commitment to a healthier planet.
From climate change and environmental degradation to waste management, conservation, sustainable development, and the impact of human activities on communities and ecosystems, we believe that addressing these challenges requires more than awareness. It requires people who are informed, empowered, connected, and willing to act.
That is the kind of community we are building.
Today, Globally Green brings together young people and changemakers from different countries who believe that meaningful environmental action is possible. We work to bridge the gap between knowledge and action, creating opportunities for people to learn about environmental challenges while equipping them to contribute to solutions.
This is only the beginning. Globally Green continues to grow as a movement of people who refuse to believe that meaningful change is beyond reach. From raising awareness to building skills, from inspiring ideas to turning them into action, we remain committed to creating a future where people and the planet can thrive together.
The Evolution of Our Identity
Over the years, Globally Green has grown and so has the way we represent who we are.
Our logo has evolved alongside our journey. From where we began to the global environmental movement we continue to build today. While our visual identity has changed, our purpose remains the same: to inspire action, advance environmental awareness, and create a more sustainable future for people and the planet.
Our original logo represents the foundation on which Globally Green was built. Our new identity reflects the next chapter of that journey, one defined by growth, greater reach, stronger collaboration, and a renewed commitment to creating meaningful environmental change.
This evolution is more than a change in design. It is a reflection of who we are becoming.
