Wavewise Climate Resilience Project
Globally Green partnered with ClimeWithMe, Clean Air 360 (Nigeria), and other Nigeria-based environmental organizations to implement the Wavewise Climate Resilience Project, an initiative focused on strengthening climate awareness, encouraging environmental responsibility, and empowering young people particularly students to become active participants in creating healthier and more resilient communities. Through this collaboration, Globally Green extended its environmental advocacy beyond Ghana, participating in on-ground activities in Nigeria and contributing to a shared vision of a generation that understands the realities of climate change and is equipped to take meaningful action.
A key component of Globally Green's contribution was the delivery of a climate education session for school children titled "Globally Green: Why Should I Care?" The session was designed to make climate and environmental issues understandable, relevant, and engaging for young learners. Rather than presenting climate change as a distant or complicated global issue, the session connected everyday experiences, particularly waste generation and disposal to their wider consequences for water bodies, communities, ecosystems, and human well-being. Through fun activities, relatable conversations, and hands-on learning, the children were encouraged to participate actively, ask questions, share their experiences, and develop a deeper understanding of why environmental responsibility matters.
The education session also created an opportunity for the children to move from learning to advocacy. As part of the close-out activity, the children reflected on the environmental challenges affecting their communities and expressed their concerns and demands for a cleaner and healthier environment. These contributions were compiled as part of the project's advocacy efforts and submitted to the Lagos State Government, giving young people a platform to communicate directly on environmental issues that affect their everyday lives. For Globally Green, this was an important reminder that climate education is not simply about transferring knowledge; it is also about creating spaces where young people can find their voices and participate in conversations that shape the future of their communities.
The project also included practical environmental action through the cleanup of a school dump site, demonstrating the connection between environmental education and action on the ground. Globally Green further brought its creative approach to waste management by replicating its Recycle Arts Campaign, introducing participants to the possibilities of transforming discarded plastic materials into useful and creative forms. By showing how plastic waste can be repurposed rather than simply discarded, the activity encouraged children and community members to look at waste as a resource that can be creatively transformed while reducing its impact on the environment.
Beyond the physical activities, Globally Green and its partners co-created engaging reels and social media content to amplify the project's message, document the experience, and encourage wider participation in climate and environmental action. The Wavewise Climate Resilience Project therefore represented more than a single intervention; it was an opportunity to connect climate education, youth participation, environmental cleanup, creative recycling, and advocacy in one collaborative effort. Through initiatives like this, Globally Green continues to champion an approach to environmental action that moves from awareness to participation, from participation to advocacy, and from advocacy to meaningful change across communities and across borders.

RE4CC – Renewable Energy for Communities Coalition
The Renewable Energy for Communities Coalition (RE4CC) is a collaborative sustainability initiative focused on expanding access to clean, affordable, and reliable energy at the community level. The project recognizes that the transition to renewable energy must extend beyond national targets and large-scale infrastructure to reach the communities and households that need accessible energy solutions most. Through advocacy, education, collaboration, and practical community-based approaches, RE4CC seeks to support communities in adopting renewable energy, reducing environmental pressures, and building more resilient livelihoods.
Globally Green is a member of the Renewable Energy for Communities Coalition, working alongside 350.org and other organizations committed to advancing a just and inclusive renewable energy transition in Ghana. Through this coalition, Globally Green contributes to collective advocacy and community engagement efforts aimed at increasing awareness of renewable energy opportunities and ensuring that communities have a meaningful voice in conversations about the country's energy future.
At the heart of the initiative is a shared goal: to accelerate the achievement of 10% affordable and decentralized renewable energy in Ghana's energy mix by 2030. Achieving this ambition requires more than technological solutions. It calls for inclusive advocacy, stronger community participation, greater awareness, and collaboration among civil society organizations, communities, policymakers, and other relevant stakeholders. RE4CC therefore creates a platform for organizations to combine their knowledge, networks, and resources to advance renewable energy solutions that are responsive to community needs.
For Globally Green, participation in RE4CC reflects our commitment to advancing environmental solutions that connect climate action with people's everyday lives. We believe that access to clean energy can contribute not only to reducing environmental impact, but also to creating opportunities for sustainable livelihoods, strengthening community resilience, and supporting a more equitable transition. Through our involvement in the coalition, we continue to contribute to the broader movement for a cleaner, more accessible, and community-centered energy future for Ghana.
